‘Los Angeles -Italia, Film, Fashion and Art Fest’, exhibition that celebrates each year the good relationships between Italian and American Cinema, is in progress, at the Hollywood Chinese Theatre.
This edition is the tenth and is up since February 15 to February 23; promoted by the Institute ‘Capri nel mondo’, born under the patronage  of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, together with the General Italian Consulate of Italy in Los Angeles, the Ministry of Economic Development and with the support of MiBACT (DG Cinema), the Italian Trade Commission, the Italian Cultural Institute, ANICA, the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), the Bank of the West, Ambi Pictures and Mediaset; among the partners and supporters of the event are to be remembered the Chamber of Commerce of Hollywood, Cinecittà Studios, Cinecittà Luce and Italian Independent Productions.
Oscar-winning screenplay writer Bobby Moresco is chairing this year’s festival with Lady Monika Bacardi as president and Mark Canton as chairman of the Honorary Board which includes Italian producer Marina Cicogna, the director Lina Wertmüller, the actor Franco Nero and the Italian singer Tony Renis.
È in corso di svolgimento, presso il Teatro Cinese di Hollywood, il  ‘Los Angeles – Italia, Film, Fashion and Art Fest’, manifestazione che celebra ogni anno i buoni rapporti tra cinema italiano e statunitense.
Questa edizione, la decima, ha luogo dal 15 al 23 febbraio, è promosso dall’Istituto ‘Capri nel mondo’ e nasce  con il patrocinio del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, insieme con il Consolato Generale italiano d’Italia a Los Angeles, il Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico e con il supporto del MiBACT (DG Cinema), dell’Italian Trade Commission, dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura, dell’ANICA, della Fondazione Nazionale Italiana Americana (NIAF), della Bank of the West, di Ambi Pictures e di Mediaset; tra i partner e i sostenitori della kermesse vanno inoltre ricordati  la Camera di Commercio di Hollywood, Cinecittà Studios, Cinecittà Luce e Italian Independent Productions.
Lo sceneggiatore premio Oscar Bobby Moresco presiede l’edizione di quest’anno del festival, con Monika Bacardi presidente, Mark Canton presidente del Comitato d’Onore, che include il produttore italiano Marina Cicogna, la regista Lina Wertmüller, l’attore Franco Nero ed il cantante Tony Renis.

This year is celebrated with particular attention the centenary of the birth of Frank Sinatra; the official opening has been assigned to Keira Knightley, nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for ‘The Imitiation Game‘, together with Morten Tyldum, director of the film, the writer Graham Moore and the producer Harvey Weinstein, for the respective awards “Film of the Year”, “Best Director” and “Best Screenplay”. Among the winners there are also the director Rory Kennedy (Best Documentary for ‘Last Days in Vietnam‘), the composers Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois, candidates for “Lost Stars”, the soundtrack of the film “Begin Again” performed by Adam Levine of Maroon 5, and the popular conductor and actor originally from Ischia Jimmy Kimmel, with his “Jimmy Kimmel Live“.
The Italic icons chosen this year are Raoul Bova, who will present the US premiere of ‘Ever been to the moon?‘, by Paolo Genovese, and the tenor Vittorio Grigolo dealing with the classic pieces of Sinatra; godmother Stefania Rocca, to present the world premiere ‘The calculus‘, by Enzo Papetti, with Luca Lionello. Not a few, however, the other excellences of the ‘Bel Paese’: Luca Zingaretti, Marco Pontecorvo for the world premiere of the film ‘Partly Cloudy (With Sunny Spells)‘.
Over fifty, however, Italian films in review; among the non-already cited ones, ‘It Takes a Miracle!‘ Alessandro Siani,’ “Darker Than Midnight” (dir. Sebastiano Riso), “Soap Opera” (dir. Alessandro Genovesi),”The Indolent Judge” (dir. Carlo Carlei), “Happily Mixed Up” (dir. Massimiliano Bruno), “The Clothes Merchant’ (dir. Antonio Baiocco), “The Ice Forest’ (dir. Claudio Noce), “Do You See Me?” (dir. Riccardo Milani), “The Greatest School in the World” (dir. Luca Miniero), “Parting Is Such A Sweet Sorrow” (dirs. Simone Gandolfo and Gianluca Della Monica), “The Blue Kiss’ (dir. Pino Tordiglione), “Life is a Stage” (dir. Marco Risi),  “Hope Lost” (dir. David Petrucci), “Calibro 10” (dir. Massimo Ivan Falsetta), “The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship” (dir. Sergio Navarretta), the documentary “Offstage” (dir. Francesco Cinquemani), and “The Only Child Bros” (dir. Alessio Maria Federici).
Tributes also foreseen to the memory of Dino Risi and Francesco Rosi.
The great Liza Minnelli will be awarded the ‘Jack Valenti Legend Award‘, annually given ‘to a great Italian-American who has made a significant contribution to the entertainment world‘; the singer, who will be awarded on Friday 20, said she was very happy to receive the award and recalled with pride her dad, the genuine Italian director Vincente, and her Italian heritage.

The event will be told in Italy every day exclusively on the channel Iris. 
Quest’anno viene celebrato con particolare attenzione il centenario dalla nascita di Frank Sinatra; l’apertura ufficiale è stata affidata a Keira Knightley, candidata all’Oscar come Miglior attrice non protagonista per ‘The Imitiation Game‘, insieme con Morten Tyldum, regista del film, lo scrittore Graham Moore ed il produttore Harvey Weinstein, per i rispettivi riconoscimenti “Film dell’anno”, “Miglior regia” e “Miglior sceneggiatura”. Le italiche icone scelte quest’anno sono Raoul Bova, che presenterà in anteprima americana ‘Sei mai stata sulla luna?‘ e il tenore Vittorio Grigolo alle prese con i pezzi classici di Sinatra; madrina Stefania Rocca, a presentare in anteprima mondiale ‘Il calcolo infinitesimale’, di Enzo Papetti, con Luca Lionello. Non poche, tuttavia, le altre eccellenze del Bel Paese:Luca Zingaretti, Marco Pontecorvo per l’anteprima mondiale del film ‘TIPS – Tempo Instabile con Probabili Schiarite‘. Oltre cinquanta, comunque, i film italiani in rassegna; tra i non citati ‘Si accettano miracoli‘ di Alessandro Siani, ‘La scuola piú bella del mondo‘ di Luca Miniero,  ‘Ti ricordi di me?‘, di Riccardo Milani, ‘Soap Opera‘ di Alessandro Genovesi, ‘Piú buio di mezzanotte‘, di Sebastiano Riso), “Il giudice meschino“, di Carlo Carlei), ‘Confusi e felici‘, di Massimiliano Bruno, ‘Il mercante di stoffe‘, di Antonio Baiocco), “La foresta di ghiaccio‘, di Claudio Noce, “Scusate se esisto” (dir. La grande Liza Minnelli sarà insignita del ‘Jack Valenti Legend Award‘ assegnato ogni anno ‘ad un eccezionale italiano-americano che ha dato un contributo significativo all’industria dello spettacolo mondiale‘; la cantante, che sarà premiata venerdí 20, si è detta molto felice di ricevere il premio e ha ricordato con orgoglio l’italianissimo papà regista Vincente e la sua eredità italiana. 
La manifestazione verrà raccontata in Italia tutti i giorni in esclusiva su Iris.
