somebody flies, somebody steals…

Once finished the vision of ‘Planes 2‘ it can be said without fear of contradiction that Dusty is in perfect shape, even after the hardships and dangers of this episode. He went above and beyond what his speedometer obliged it, putting at risk the transmission, passing water, fire and even running the risk of succumbing. Sincere thanks to the entire staff who made the film, to the director Roberts Gallaway and to all the others.

It arrived in Japanese theaters the long-awaited film in live action ‘Lupin III’ (ル パ ン 三世 ‘Rupan Sansei’) derived from the same Monkey Punch’s manga from which they were born, at the time, the daring exploits of the thief most famous in the world, its friends and inspector Zenigata, who always was in hot pursuit of him, achieving poor results.

The role of Arsene Lupin III, a descendant of that Lupin invented for literature by Maurice Leblanc, was portrayed by Shun Oguri, Jigen by Tetsuji Tamayana, while Goemon, Fujiko and Zenigata are relived, respectively, in the interpretations of Gō Ayano, Meisa Kuroki and Tadanobu Asano.

Distributed by Toho, the film sees the characters struggling with the “crimson heart of Cleopatra”, a jewel of inestimable value; the film took four years working and was shooted in Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand.

Planes: what about?

Planes’ is a pleasant film, without any doubt. One has said it is a spin off, entirely taken by Cars and just moved into the sky and the world of planes rather than auto routes. It is not true: a spin off actually is when the characters (not the protagonists) already were in the previous film and the second one continues in telling their stories.

Planes can seem a sort of reboot, perhaps, cause he actualises the same story of Cars and Turbo and, I admit, moves it in the real story of an agricultural plane born to do something different from what he seemed destined for.

Dusty Crophopper, the star of this film, of course a visionary, is nice and generous; he manages to do his work and to help friends in difficulties, such as the English one that runs the risk to precipitate or the Mexican named “El Chupacabra”  having a 5 evidently put on its rudder (or vertical stabilizer?) that has some pr oblem with love.

Hmm … cars, snails, airplanes … what will be the next level?Wink
