the Blood of Zeus and the International Animation Day
Yesterday, October 28, it was the International Animation Day*, and we celebrate it by dealing with a Netflix original series: ‘Blood of Zeus’.
A quite interesting one, ‘Blood of Zeus’ is based on the Greek mythology, and on the Greek mentality for the human beings were to live submitted to the Gods and to the Fate. And the poor to the powerful. Heron is the son of Zeus, born amid one of the relations outside the official marriage the king of the Gods used to do to fill the Earth with people, especially the ones born to become heroes. However, Heron is not aware of his origins, and lives in a miserable context. He discovers who he actually is throughout his everyday adventures, and finds out the goal of his existence: to save humanity from a demonic army.
Created by Charley Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides, ‘Blood of Zeus’ is admirable for design, original, well animated, and well characterized.
As for the International Animation Day 2020* into specifics, it is to have a look at the website, and at the poster, designed by “Regina Pessoa”.
Regina Pessoa… what a wonderful art name…
