Written, directed, and produced by Brett Morgen, ‘Moonage Daydream’ is a documentary, and more than a documentary. The White Duke is presented to you as an icon, as a star, as a versatile artist, hungry for every possible source of inspiration, and able to move from Music to Painting, from Cinema to Theatre and Dance.
Even apart from the David Bowie’s appropriate fresco, enriched by a soundtrack made up of both famous and unpublished songs, ‘Moonage Daydream’ also is an adventure into every possible element of pop culture, in a kaleidoscopic and philological rock experience.
There is a Starman waiting in the sky, no doubt. And
maybe a Starman, David Bowie actually was.
