Hercules live action & Hercules vs Thor: just a speculation

While we were carrying on our speculations, Disney and Marvel revealed at San Diego Comic-Con the films related to the phases 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 5 (2023-2024): ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’; ‘Secret Invasion’ (Disney+); ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’; ‘Echo’ (Disney+); ‘Loki season 2’ (Disney+); ‘The Marvels’; ‘Blade’; ‘Ironheart’ (Disney+); ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’(Disney+); ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ (Disney+); ‘Captain America: New World Order’; ‘Thunderbolts’; Phase 6 (2024-2025): ‘Fantastic Four’ (a reboot); ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.
Do you all remember the old post in which I expressed the perplexity that too many Hercules could come up at the same time in our imaginary world and in cinemas? The reflection did not end there, it continued and hooked on the awareness that Marvel is part of the Disney empire, for some years now.
A hypothesis I had come up with could be this: that the Hercules in live action directed by Guy Ritchie could serve as the “first chapter” / “pilot” for a possible ‘Thor and Hercules: the fight of two Gods’ (or something). And maybe for an entire saga!
At the time of writing, very little is known about the cast and the plot of the former one, although it has been stated that it will not be a mere transposition of the animated film; the second is only conceivable on the basis of the post-credits scene in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, nor is this the place to make spoilers.
Logic would be the following: the first film would serve to present the figure of Hercules, his genesis, his story; the second would see him struggling with Thor. As for the next ones, who knows…
As we said in the other post, Hercules, at this point played by the same actor (Brett Goldstein) in both films, would be a really interesting character to develop, full of nuances and suggestions, just think of the Twelve Labours! The only problematic aspect: Would Guy Ritchie ever agree to direct a film knowing that the second chapter would be directed by another one? And what about Taika Waititi who, moreover, has declared that he knows absolutely nothing about Thor’s future in the next films?

Please, hypothesis is only a hypothesis…
