Seiji Yokoyama died last 8th of July, at the age of 82 years, suffering from pneumonia. It was confirmed today.
A composer among the most refined ones, he did a fundamental contribution to Japanese animation, by composing musical songs and soundtracks for anime such as ‘Saint Seiya’, ‘Gatchaman’ and ‘Space Pirate Captain Harlock’.
Yokoyama’s death occurred in Hiroshima, his hometown; his funeral will be held today, Monday 10.
