Comincia questa sera su LaEffe, canale 50 del digitale terrestre, ‘Grandi Speranze’, ennesima riduzione, stavolta televisiva, dell’omonimo romanzo del prolifico Charles Dickens. Prodotta dall’inglese BBC quattro anni fa, qualche mese dopo il film che Mike Newel ha dedicato, nel 2012, al bicentenario della nascita dello scrittore, quest’ultima serie si articola in tre emozionanti puntate che, pur fedeli all’originale, hanno introdotto qualche modifica.

Pip (Oscar Kennedy da giovane, Douglas Booth da adulto) è un giovane orfano che vive con la sorella (Claire Rushbrook); incontra un personaggio strano, un evaso che sta per essere riarrestato e, soprattutto, Miss Havisham (Gillian Anderson, la stessa di X Files), una nobildonna strana e svalvolata per via di gente che le ha fatto del male in passato. Il giovane, non si sa se visionario nel senso nobile del termine, desidera salire nella scala sociale e, a un certo punto, le situazioni giuste sembrano prospettarglisi….

That same year, he also launched his activity as a blogger (Pasquale Curatola's Blog) and author, with works spanning from essays and non-fiction to fantasy and comedy-thrillers (attività letteraria). His career also includes collaborations with news outlets and live shows for private channels, alongside PR experiences for high-profile clients such as AC Milan, Bank of New York, and Orange Business Services. He is a dedicated blood and organ donor.
