According to the Chinese astrology, 2017 is the year of the Rooster. Not the crazy rooster of Disney’s ‘Oceania’, of course, but an awake and energetic symbol of the Good Fortune and Vitality.
As for environment, 2017 will be Year of Sustainable Tourism; the assembly of the United Nations (UN) has ratified that such appointment is of utmost importance “for the development, in promoting the issue among as many people as possible, to spread awareness of the great heritage of various civilizations and in bringing about a better appreciation of the inherent values of different cultures, thereby helping to strengthen peace in the world.” Tourism is included as a target of three of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
• SDG 8: Promote sustainable economic growth, inclusive and sustainable, full and productive employment and decent work for all
• SDG12: Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns
• SDG 14: Safeguarding the oceans, seas and marine resources for their sustainable development.

Secondo l’astrologia cinese, il 2017 sarà l’anno del Gallo. Non il galletto pazzerello di ‘Oceania’, certo, ma un desto ed energico simbolo di Fortuna e Vitalità.
Dal punto di vista ambientale, il 2017 sarà Anno del Turismo Sostenibile; l’assemblea delle Nazioni Unite (ONU) ha ratificato che tale designazione riveste la massima importanza “per lo sviluppo, nel promuovere il tema fra il maggior numero di persone possibile, nel diffondere consapevolezza della grande patrimonio delle varie civiltà e nel portare al riguardo un miglior apprezzamento di valori intrinsechi delle diverse culture, contribuendo così al rafforzamento della pace nel mondo”. Il turismo è incluso come target di tre degli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile (OSS):
• OSS 8: Promuovere una crescita economica duratura, inclusiva e sostenibile, la piena e produttiva occupazione e un lavoro decoroso per tutti
• OSS 12: Garantire modelli di consumo e produzione sostenibili
• OSS 14: Salvaguardare gli oceani, i mari e le risorse marine per un loro sviluppo sostenibile
