Il dibattito cinematografico è sicuramente incentrato sulle nomination all’Oscar e sul festival di Berlino, manifestazioni che fanno stare un po’ tutti in trepidante attesa.
Con riguardo agli Oscar, Emanuela Marrocco di Castelli animati segnala ai suoi friends che due dei cinque nominati alle preziose statuette per il miglior cortometraggio d’animazione sono già stati premiati all’edizione 2009 del festival di cui è organizzatrice e al quale anch’io ho collaborato: “A Matter of Loaf and Death“ di Nick Park, Premio Speciale della Giuria e “The Lady and the Reaper” di Javier Recio Gracia, Premio speciale Virus.
In occasione del mio 34° compleanno vorrei segnalarvi anche un terzo appuntamento, una manifestazione forse periferica, ma ormai istituzionale, irrinunciabile: il Reggio Calabria Film Fest.
Si tratta di eventi che dimostrano come la mano dell’uomo, quando rivolta al Bene, sia sempre capace di esprimere valori significativi, che ci fanno sperare nel futuro, al di là delle manate di fango che talvolta il male lascia cadere.

As a manager, his 1st professional experience dates back to 1999 (Carat), though he likes to begin by telling of a letter he wrote at the age of 14 to Mediaset, offering his own strategic advice on schedules and programming.
In 2003, he joined Cinecittà Entertainment, a company closely related to Cinecittà Studios and Italian Dreams Factory, where he contributed to the realization of several events and shows broadcast by SKY Italia and other channels, including Sinners, Non aprite quella porta, and Sulle rotte del cinema.
In 2006, he worked on 'Santa Caterina', an animated short created by Mondo TV as a project work, and was involved in organizing I castelli animati as well as in the start-up phase of La città dell'animazione.
That same year, he also launched his activity as a blogger (Pasquale Curatola's Blog) and author, with works spanning from essays and non-fiction to fantasy and comedy-thrillers (attività letteraria).
His career also includes collaborations with news outlets and live shows for private channels, alongside PR experiences for high-profile clients such as AC Milan, Bank of New York, and Orange Business Services.
He is a dedicated blood and organ donor.
