Come ricordavamo in altre sedi, il 2021 è l’anno di #WonderWoman e del #believeinwonder. Era, infatti, il 1941 quando William Moulton Marston, psicologo americano, supportato dalle prime illustrazioni di Harry G. Peter, dava vita a Diana di Themyscira, figlia della regina delle Amazzoni e nota ai piú come, per l’appunto, Wonder Woman. Il suo debutto, sulle pagine di All Star Comics #8, è da giovane esponente della tribú delle Amazzoni, stanziate in una remota isola chiamata “Paradise Island”.
Oltre ai fumetti, è stata un’eroina della televisione nella mitica serie degli anni ’70, e del cinema, con i recenti film diretti da Patty Jenkins e interpretati da Gal Gadot. Il prossimo 17 novembre, dulcis in fundo, avrà una mostra tutta sua a Milano, a Palazzo Morando, dal titolo “Wonder Woman. Il mito”. Organizzata da 24Ore Cultura, in collaborazione con Warner Bros. e DC, la mostra durerà quattro mesi e getterà un affresco che consterà di tavole e fumetti originali provenienti dall’archivio DC a Burbank, California, e da collezionisti privati, ma anche dei costumi di scena e delle armi originali provenienti dai set dei film ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017) e ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ (2020).
Pasquale Curatola holds degrees in Advertising studies and International Communication, alongside Master's degrees in Marketing & Brand Communication, Film & TV management, and Animated Films management.
He has also trained in acting, participating in several workshops.
As a manager, his 1st professional experience dates back to 1999 (Carat), though he likes to begin by telling of a letter he wrote at the age of 14 to Mediaset, offering his own strategic advice on schedules and programming.
In 2003, he joined Cinecittà Entertainment, a company closely related to Cinecittà Studios and Italian Dreams Factory, where he contributed to the realization of several events and shows broadcast by SKY Italia and other channels, including Sinners, Non aprite quella porta, and Sulle rotte del cinema.
In 2006, he worked on 'Santa Caterina', an animated short created by Mondo TV as a project work, and was involved in organizing I castelli animati as well as in the start-up phase of La città dell'animazione.
That same year, he also launched his activity as a blogger (Pasquale Curatola's Blog) and author, with works spanning from essays and non-fiction to fantasy and comedy-thrillers (attività letteraria).
His career also includes collaborations with news outlets and live shows for private channels, alongside PR experiences for high-profile clients such as AC Milan, Bank of New York, and Orange Business Services.
He is a dedicated blood and organ donor.
