on the Red Sea (2)

Christian Bale will play as Moses in the next Ridley Scott’s kolossal,  ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’(The title seems to reveal a quiet disenchanted approach to the Holy Bible, seen as the Hebraic mythology).

As in the previous films based on the Exodus (and Deuteronomy), 40 years old Christian will have to make Israelite slaves get out free from Egypt and move toward the Promised Land.

Of course, it is to tell the particular relationship between Moses and Rhamses, (Joel Edgerton of Warrior and The Great Gatsby), born almost as brothers, became ennemies because of the facts and, someone says, of the different opinions on slavery.

They arrive to duel, and Rhamses screams:

Let’see who’s more effective at killing, you or me?’.

By the way, Moses takes Rhamses informed on what runs the risk to happen:

I came here to tell you that something is coming that is out of my control‘.

According to the trailer, another star in this film, which is said to have a budget of over $150m, seems to be the Nature; we see tornadoes, dantesque landscapes, lightning storms, rivers of blood (perhaps because of the 10 Plagues, I suppose).

In the cast, Bale and Edgerton a part, there are also Sigourney Weaver, Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley, Emun Elliott and John Turturro.

The film, written by the Oscar awarded Steven Zaillian (‘Schindler’s List’), realised at the Pinewood Studios of London, will be released in America on December 12, 2014; in Italy, on January 2015.

Arrivano a duellare e Ramses urla:

‘Vediamo chi è piú bravo a uccidere, io o tu’.
