We talk about Cinema as “the seventh art” since the Italian critic Ricciotto Canudo (1877 – 1923) drew up a precise list of all human crafts, according to which
- the first art is the Architecture;
- the second is the Music;
- the third is the Painting;
- the fourth is the Sculpture;
- the fifth is the Poetry;
- the sixth is the Dance;
- the seventh is the Cinema.
- eighth art was defined by the critic Claude Beyilie, referring to Radio and Television;
- the ninth could be Comics, due to the Fancis Lacassin’s book “For a ninth art, comics”.
Today, August the 1st, 2013, this blogger proposes Web content (web sites, blogs, social networks and something) as the tenth! |
Si parla del cinema come “settima arte” da quando il critico italiano Ricciotto Canudo (1877 – 1923) stilò un elenco preciso degli umani mestieri, secondo il quale

- la quarta è la Scultura;

A proposito, YouTube aprirà a New York un nuovo studio, il quarto, di 2000 metri quadri, mettendo gratuitamente a disposizione dei professionisti tutti gli strumenti e le tecnologie per la produzione e la post produzione video. In passato ne erano stati inaugurati altri, a Los Angeles, Londra e Tokyo.
