Inu -Oh

‘Inu-Oh’ (Japanese: 犬王), directed by Masaaki Yuasa, was my cinematographic choice Tuesday night, and it was the best one your best blogger could make.
No spoiler but, honestly, quite a special one. It is the true story of an artist, cursed because of his father’s ambition, and his father’s agreement with a demon.
Step by step, His Art helps him to redeem of his starting situation, giving his body the same beauty his soul actually had since the beginning.
Animated and musical, spectacular as well as refined, ‘Inu-Oh’ is based upon the novel ‘Tales of the Heike: Inu-Oh’, written by Hideo Furukawa; produced by Science SARU, it was scored by composer and multi-instrumentalist Otomo Yoshihide. The original songs were written by Avu-chan, Otomo, director Masaaki Yuasa and soundtrack musician Yohei Matsui. Character designs were created by the author of the manga, Taiyō Matsumoto.
